Uranus was the primal Greek god personifying the sky. His equivalent in Roman mythology was Caelus. In Ancient Greek literature, according to Hesiod in his Theogony, Uranus or Father Sky was the son and husband of Gaia, Mother Earth. Uranus and Gaia were ancestors of most of the Greek gods, but no cult addressed directly to Uranus survived into Classical times, and Uranus does not appear among the usual themes of Greek painted pottery. Elemental Earth, Sky and Styx might be joined, however, in a solemn invocation in Homeric epic.

My witch craft circle was formed in 1990 and mother Gaia was our moon, scorched by jealousy by the father who burns within the core of the sun. Earth was Uranus to us, he seduced Gaia with his blue eyes [oceans. I made it all up. Luck/ unified field?
